Overview

With jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3, we can now create web applications that are akin to native applications on the desktop.

jugheadweb.com create such applications and this site demonstrates the following features:

AJAX

The user never leaves the current page. All content is loaded by Ajax to create a seemless experience.

Fluid Design

Relative dimensions are used throughout the application. >>

Navigation

All pages, gadgets and widgets may be accessed via the Navigation menu. Inner page navigation is controlled via the Scroll icons in the Footer, or by the Scroll icons in the section headings. Full page display can be toggled on or off by use of the small button in the section headings.

iPhone Display

If window size is 480px or less then the application will display in handheld mode.

Usability

User can change page zoom, page width, font size, invert colours, download a theme or create a new theme using the Toolbar.

HTML5

This application employs validated HTML5. Modernizr is used to allow these elements to be used in older browsers, with IE6 being the oldest. Choose between 360 layout structures via the Toolbar.
